We're going to try a little bit of liveblogging this morning. Carlynn just came back into the waiting room after being with Sam while they gave him the anesthesia. Sam was a trooper - he picked Dr. Pepper for his mask flavor. The anesthesiologist told him the gas would smell like wet dog - he thought that was pretty funny before drifting off to sleep. So now we're in the waiting room with my Dad.
Should be done by noon, but they have a system set up here where one of the nurses gives you an update on how things are going. They page you, then you call a number, and you get an update directly from the nurse in the OR.
