I realized that I neglected to mention some very important visitors! Sam's pastor Marilyn has visited Sam twice and prayed with Sam. Sam loves the little stuffed gorilla from Pastor Marilyn - he named it Aero. It turns out the hospital chaplain, Rev. Beth Stassen, knows Pastor Marilyn from her time in seminary! Sam was lucky enough to have both women pray and bless him on two occasions one day!
Lana Albrecht (from Salem Lutheran Church) brought a huge roast beef dinner over to our house on Friday - we're still enjoying the tasty meal! Thanks so much!
My sister Hope stopped by with her fiance Dustin and Sam is still working on putting together all 24 puzzles (he's finished two so far)! The nurses helped come up with a dinner tray to use in bed so Sam can put the puzzles together while lying on his tummy.
