Day 5

Today was a great day for Sam - we're starting to see a trend here I think. Sam was really cheerful for most of the day -- really digging into breakfast this morning, then off to play mario...getting his bandages off, getting his IV out. He seemed to be back to his old self.

His surgical wound is healing very well. The took the big bandage off, so now it's basically steri-strips and glue -- those will stay on until they fall off.

According to the nurses, Sam's a couple of days ahead of schedule. He's moving around a lot on his own, and he needs very little pain medicine -- just Tylenol!
