Strep

It's been a busy weekend so far, and it's only Saturday!

Carlynn came home from work Thursday night and wasn't feeling well -- she had a fever, chills, and felt like she had been hit by a truck. Friday morning, she still felt pretty bad. Turns out she's got strep throat -- obviously this would be a bad thing for Sam to have going into his surgery, so Sam and I (Rob) got checked out as well. Sam has it (no symptoms), but I don't.

So the good news is they caught it in time, but the bad news is we had planned to spend Friday night in a hotel downtown -- instead, Sam and I took the room, Carlynn was quarantined at home, and Gabe stayed with his dad. Kind of a disappointment, but at least we know he's going to be in good shape going into the surgery on Wednesday.

In the meantime, we continue to get all the pre-op stuff taken care of. As usual, Sam has a positive outlook and is his normal, cheerful self.
