The Rest of Easter

It was a great Easter today, for Sam too, despite not being able to see grandparents or cousins like he usually does.

The pharmacist at Gillette was sympathetic to our concerns this morning about Sam not being able to get the medicine down. She gave us the pain medicine "straight" with only sweetner and some other ingredient that removes bitterness. She recommended sour apple - but since I didn't know whether he'd like that or not, she kept the flavoring separate. Sam actually took the medicine on it's own at first -- he didn't think it tasted that bad. Tonight I think we'll try some in apple juice.

Sam missed out on Easter celebrations this year at the Gore's and at Grandma Marsha's, but he did have a nice Easter basket from the Easter Bunny, and he got to play lots of video games. We'll need to ween him off those a bit over the next few days, not unlike heavy narcotics I suppose.

Uncle Don came over for a few hours and helped with the Pokemon White DS game (thanks again Mary Jo!!!) Don's working on some more paintings, so I'm interested to see how these next pieces come out.

Anyway -- Sam should sleep a lot better tonight.
