Weekend Update

Sam enjoyed relaxing at home Saturday afternoon and Sunday. We got home about 2:30 on Sat. - just in time to take a short nap. Auntie Hope took a break from painting her new apartment to show us her new wavy perm - she has really long hair now!

Rob made an awesome batch of pasta fagioli while Sam and I played games on the Wii. It's amazing how quickly time passes playing video games. Rob calls it the "Nintendo time warp".

On Sunday, Rob came home from church to can some strawberry jam while Sam and I - you guessed it - played games on the Wii. I'm hoping we can soon expand our horizons beyond video games, but it's hard to resist, especially the Wii Fit, which allows you to exercise and have fun too!

Sam was fitted for new knee immobilizers today, as the velcro on his other ones were giving out.

We saw Luke and his mom, Gina today. Luke (also five years old) is going to have the rhizotomy surgery on Wednesday, so they were here for the tour. Rob and I know Gina and her husband Thor from a conference for parents of kids with disabilities we go to every year. It's such a small world!

A nonprofit group, Owen's Trees, just dropped off a mini Christmas tree, already decorated, for Sam's room - awesome!

We're supposed to get a bunch of snow tonight, so it should be fun to watch out the window instead of shoveling!
