Update

Sam is off all medications now (partly because it was becoming an ongoing battle to get him to take his medicine), and continuing to do well in therapy. He is feeling a bit of residual tiredness and lack of appetite from his stomach flu on Tuesday, but he seems to be regaining some appetite and cheer today.

We're headed home again this afternoon, after going to today's fun group - Camp Get-a-Well-a. Sam said, "I've never been to camp before!"

We'll be back at Gillette on Sunday afternoon to meet the Sunday school crew at 1:30 p.m., I believe.

Thanks to Louise Nesdahl for visiting on Thursday evening, as well as Pastor Marilyn. We feel so loved and cared for by our Salem church family!

Elsie Hintz (from Salem Lutheran) brought over a great chicken and rice hotdish last night. Rob said, "It smells like Minnesota (comfort food)!" - must be the cream of mushroom soup. I have to tell you that the hotdish did not last long - neither did the cookies!

Suzy and Stan Bivin, the parents of Rob's friend Jason (hospitalized after a terrible car crash), sent a great care package for Sam: soft, fuzzy blanket, coloring books and markers and a lapdesk coloring kit. Thanks for taking some of your precious time (we know you're at the hospital with Jason every day) to think of Sam in this way. I'll post a picture of Sam with the blanket.
